Call for Papers: Submissions open until Wednesday, January 22, 2025

Themed ‘The foundation of mining safety,’ the 27th annual Mining Health and Safety Conference will be held April 30 to May 1, 2025, in Sudbury. 

This hybrid event expects to welcome more than 200 in-person attendees, and 100+ online viewers. Mining industry professionals attend for the opportunity to network, learn and share their knowledge of health and safety.

Workplace Safety North invites proposals for papers for its technical sessions held on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Presentations will be a maximum of 30 minutes, including time for participant questions. 

Areas of focus for mining related presentations:

  • High-risk hazard management
  • Safety culture
  • Health and Safety Leadership
  • Effective approaches to improving physical and/or psychological health and safety at the workplace
  • Industry case studies
  • Research and innovation
  • Emergency response 

Please note, presentations that focus on the health and safety topics above will receive priority consideration over sales-oriented submissions.
