This intensive two-day course is designed exclusively for trainers who will be delivering the Introduction to Professional Cable Skidding (IPCS) training course.
This course is sanctioned by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) as a requirement for certification as a MTCU Approved Trainer under the mandatory Cutter/Skidder Operator program. Participants must successfully complete all required components of the course before they can provide IPCS training. Classroom work focuses on delivery of the program content using sound teaching methods and adult education principles.
Participants in the course must successfully complete all required components of the course before they can receive the course certificate that qualifies them to provide IPCS training under the mandatory Cutter/Skidder Operator program.
WSN Approved Trainer/Evaluator Requirements
The Approved Trainer/Evaluator:
- Will conduct mandatory classroom training for skidder operators using the Introduction to Professional Cable Skidder (IPCS) training program
- Will conduct evaluations of workers for certification/accreditation
Their qualifications will include:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in related logging operations
- Successful completion of Introduction to Professional Cable Skidder: Full Course
- Successful completion of Train-the-Trainer: Introduction to Professional Cable Skidder
- Successful completion of Train-the-Trainer: Generic
