How to prepare for Ontario workplace inspections on hazardous materials training and worker exposures to chemical agents

Learn what to expect from provincial health and safety inspection initiative

You’re invited to attend a free forest products webinar, “How to prepare for Ontario workplace inspections on hazardous materials training and worker exposures to chemical agents,” on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 1:30 pm EST.

Co-hosted by Workplace Safety North (WSN) and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (Ministry), the webinar focuses on exposure to chemical agents and the amended Hazardous Product Regulation.

Workplace Hazardous Material Information Sheets (WHMIS) training and legislation will be discussed as it applies to the forestry, pulp and paper industries.

Occupational illnesses can result from short or long-term exposure to hazardous chemical agents in the workplace. Control measures to prevent these exposures will help lower the risk of workers developing an occupational illness.
