This course is designed for participants seeking accreditation in either Common Core for Underground Hard Rock (770121) or Soft Rock (770131) First Line Supervisor program as defined by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration Training and Skills Development in the Modular Training Standard.
Building upon the content delivered in the Generic First Line (770141) course, additional training in the following two modules will be provided to participants, meeting knowledge requirements for the following mandatory common core modules for First Line Supervisors:
- U6106/U6406, Read and Follow Mine Layouts and Specifications
- U6107/U6407, Identify Geological Features and Supervise Ground Control Installations
To become fully accredited under a supervisor common core program, participants must return to their workplace and demonstrate skills and understanding of the content across these modules to a qualified trainer.
Prerequisite:
Learners must have completed the four-day Common Core for First Line Supervisors training course through which they achieved the knowledge requirements addressed in the First Line Supervisor Generic modular training program (770141).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The intention is that learners would leverage the participant manual they received when taking the 770141 course, completing the final section to be eligible for this record of training.
