This intensive course is designed to prepare the participants to design and deliver high-quality interactive skill-based training to other employees and evaluate the effectiveness of the training provided.
The course will cover the following topic areas:
- the legislated requirements for training
- adult learning principles; instructional design
- training delivery methods
- facilitation skills and presentation techniques
- as well as methods for evaluating and analyzing training effectiveness
Small group activities and participant presentations are used to review, apply, and practice the content and skills presented during the course so that participants can apply them to their own Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) modular training programs. The instructor and participants will informally provide feedback during presentations and activities.
This course is directed to both new and experienced instructors who are responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating effective MTCU modular training programs for the mining industry. The course will also be of interest to signing authorities for all MTCU mining training programs as required by legislation.
Intended Audience
This course is intended for trainers and signing authorities of common core and specialty modules from all mining sectors.

This course is offered through instructor-led live virtual training over half-day sessions via the Zoom meeting platform. Participants will require an active broadband Internet connection (DSL or greater) and a webcam to participate.
