In 2024, a group of Ontario paper products industry experts met to determine the root causes of one of the top health and safety risks: using stationary machines to produce, move, pack or wrap paper. An industry volunteer group of subject matter experts – with both management and worker representatives – met for a root cause analysis workshop facilitated by WSN. The provincial root cause analysis program is sector-specific and takes a scientific and focused approach to improving workplace health and safety.
