Radon management throughout the life cycle of an underground mine

Radon is a naturally occurring element that is produced through the radioactive decay of uranium, and therefore a common atmospheric contaminant in the underground mine environment. This presentation provides an overview of the changing factors contributing to the presence of radon throughout the life of the underground mine, and the corresponding management practices required to maintain an acceptable risk of exposure.
