Borden Gold: Update on electric underground equipment

Peter Calnan and JY Young, Goldcorp

The Goldcorp Borden Gold project is situated approximately 15 kilometres northeast of Chapleau at the northern end of Borden Lake. The project is approximately 160 kilometres west of Goldcorp’s Porcupine mine near Timmins, Ontario. Goldcorp is currently planning to move the Borden project into full mine production, with an underground portal and is designed to retrieve a bulk sample for processing in Timmins. The vision for the project includes an incorporation of safety, technology, and innovation in the design. This presentation is a follow up to the Borden presentation delivered last year to our mining peers at the Workplace Safety North Mining Health and Safety North Conference.
