Tuesday, July 09, 2013

Laurentian University is seeking a qualified candidate to help build a research program to address the health and safety needs of workers in northern Ontario.

The Research Chair is expected to be instrumental in developing Laurentian’s Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health (CROSH).

CROSH has taken a lead role in health and safety research in mining, including collaborating with Workplace Safety North for research into line-of-sight issues associated with mobile equipment, vibration exposure for load-haul-dump operators, and reproductive hazards in the mining workplace.

The Selection Committee will begin reviewing applications in September 2013.
