In January 2024, a group of Ontario silviculture industry experts met to determine the root causes of top health and safety risks: falling dead trees, wind and weather events, temperature extremes, and wildlife.

The industry volunteer group of subject matter experts – equally representing workers and management – met virtually for a root cause analysis workshop facilitated by WSN. The provincial risk management program is sector-specific and takes a scientific and focused approach to improving workplace health and safety.
